Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
The short version: Convexy processes conversions on your device and never sends your files or conversion history to Pocket Atelier. The app stores limited operational data on your device, including settings, conversion history, and trial or purchase state. Convexy has no account or file-processing server. This marketing site uses self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics — see below.
What Pocket Atelier Receives
The Convexy app does not send Pocket Atelier your files, conversion history, app settings, usage data, analytics, diagnostics, or telemetry. Pocket Atelier receives information only when you choose to email us, through the website analytics described below, or through information Apple or Google makes available to developers under their own services and your platform settings.
How Your Files Are Processed
All conversions happen on your device using platform frameworks and conversion libraries included in the app. Convexy:
- Reads input from the location you select, such as Photos, Gallery, Files, or another app.
- May create working copies and converted output in the app's temporary or cache storage.
- Performs the conversion locally.
- Saves or shares the output only to the destination you choose.
The app removes temporary working files during normal cleanup. If the app or operating system interrupts an operation, temporary files can remain until the operating system reclaims the app's temporary or cache storage.
Convexy does not upload your files to Pocket Atelier. If you select a cloud-backed input or destination, enable Photos or Gallery sync, or share an output with another app, that provider may transfer or store the file under its own privacy policy. Conversion processing itself remains on your device.
Data Stored on Your Device
Convexy stores the following data locally so the app can operate:
- Conversion history: Up to 50 recent entries, including source and output filenames where available, source and target formats, file sizes where available, timestamps, and a reference to the saved output. History does not contain the file contents.
- Settings and onboarding state: Your conversion defaults, history preference, and whether the welcome screen has been shown.
- Trial and purchase state: A trial record and local billing state used to calculate trial access, show entitlement status, and complete purchase acknowledgement where required.
- Temporary working files: Input copies, intermediate files, converted output, and share staging files created while performing an operation.
Files that you save to Photos, Gallery, Files, or another destination are stored by that destination and are not part of Convexy's conversion history records.
Network Access
The app's only network-capable service integrations are:
- Apple StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android: Used to display products, process or restore the one-time purchase, update entitlement status, and acknowledge a purchase. This communication is with Apple or Google. Convexy has no purchase server of its own.
- App Store and Google Play review services: After repeated successful saves and at least seven days of use, Convexy may ask the platform to show its optional rating and review interface. Apple or Google decides whether the interface appears and processes anything you choose to submit. Convexy does not receive a response inside the app or use it to track you.
File conversion and the app's local tools do not require an internet connection. Purchasing, restoring, refreshing purchase information, or submitting a store review can require a connection.
Apple and Google process app downloads, purchases, ratings, and reviews under their own privacy policies. They may also make diagnostic reports available to developers if you enable the relevant platform sharing setting. Convexy does not include its own analytics or crash-reporting service.
Accounts and Authentication
Convexy does not require or support user accounts, logins, email addresses, or any form of authentication. You open the app and use it.
Support Email
If you email support@convexy.app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, held by our email provider. We use it only to reply to you — never for marketing, and we never sell or share it. Ask us and we'll delete the correspondence.
Third-Party Services
The Convexy app contains no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It uses only the platform store services described above for purchases and optional reviews. Open-source conversion libraries included in the app run locally and do not receive your files.
Website analytics
This marketing site (convexy.app) uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool we self-host on our own infrastructure. It does not set cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track visitors across sites — we use it only to see which pages get traffic and which app-store buttons visitors select. The Convexy app itself does not load Umami or any other analytics.
Backups, Device Transfer, and Reinstallation
On Android, Convexy's backup rules select the local trial and billing preferences and the welcome-screen preference for platform cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Conversion history, conversion settings, and cache files are not selected by those rules. Whether a backup or transfer occurs depends on your device, Android version, manufacturer, account, and backup settings.
On iOS, settings and conversion history are stored as app data and may be included in a device backup according to your Apple backup settings. The trial record is stored in the iOS Keychain using a protection class that can migrate when an encrypted backup is restored. It may therefore remain available after you delete and reinstall the app or move to another device.
Platform backups are controlled by Apple or Google and your account settings. Pocket Atelier cannot access them.
Trial and Purchase Data
Convexy uses the local trial and billing state described above to provide the 14-day trial and one-time unlock. On iOS, purchase entitlement is provided by StoreKit. On Android, the app also stores local purchase and acknowledgement state. StoreKit and Google Play Billing communicate with their respective platform services; this information is not sent to a Pocket Atelier server.
Children's Privacy
Convexy does not send Pocket Atelier files, conversion history, analytics, or telemetry from any user, including children. The app has no accounts, advertising, social features, user-generated content service, or in-app communication feature.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Conversion history: Convexy retains at most 50 entries. Clear History deletes all history metadata but does not delete output files you saved elsewhere.
- Saved output: Delete an exported file from the Photos, Gallery, Files, cloud-storage, or other destination where you saved it.
- Temporary files: The app removes them during normal cleanup, and the operating system may reclaim remaining temporary or cache files.
- Android app data: Clearing Convexy's storage or uninstalling the app removes its current local app data. The selected trial, billing, and welcome-screen preferences can be restored later from an available platform backup or device transfer.
- iOS app data: Deleting the app removes its app container, including current settings and history. The Keychain trial record can remain, and an available backup can restore app data.
- Platform records: Apple and Google retain purchase and download records under their own policies and controls.
- Support email: If you emailed us, contact us and ask us to delete the correspondence.
Pocket Atelier has no Convexy account, conversion-file store, or conversion-history server from which app data needs to be deleted.
